Breeds in the Crossbreeds

About crossbreeds

Crossbreeds are dogs bred from two different pedigree breeds, such as the Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle) and the Labradoodle (Labrador Retriever and Poodle), or from established crossbreed lines. They are not breeds recognised by The Royal Kennel Club, and their size, coat and temperament can vary more than a pedigree's.

A crossbreed can inherit health problems from either side, so both parents should have the health tests recommended for their own breeds. Be wary of claims that a crossbreed is hypoallergenic or healthier by default: no dog is hypoallergenic, and health depends on the parents, not the label.
